Betty J. Goff

   Betty J. Goff, 88, of Springfield and formerly of Danville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 11:49pm at St. Joseph’s Home in Springfield.  A visitation will be on Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 9:30-11:30am at Kruger-Coan-Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville.  Services will be on Thursday, October 24 at 11:30am at Kruger-Coan-Pape Funeral Home with Rick Goff officiating.  Burial will follow at Danville National Cemetery.

   Betty was born October 1, 1931 in Kittson County, MN to Theodore and Mary (Martin) Quick.  She attended Danville grade schools and Danville High School, and later achieving her GED.  She met her husband at Stewart Rug Company.  The two later opened Goff Rug Company and worked side by side for around 15 years.  She was a member of the Vermilion Heights Christian Church, Altrusa, Womens Club of Danville, Meals on Wheels, and a member of the Illiana genealogy library.  She was an Avid reader, enjoyed embroidery, jig-saw puzzles, word searches, and cross words puzzles.  In later years, she enjoyed watching Cubs games.

   Betty married Allen Goff on January 8, 1949 in Danville, and shared over sixty-six years together, until his passing in 2015.  Survivors include her four children:  Jim (Judy) Goff, Larry Goff, Judy (Bob) Davis, and Rick (Lori) Goff; fifteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; three brothers; one sister; and numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son: Randy Goff; daughter Diane Brozio, and one brother.
