David Earl Brinkman, 74 of Kingman, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Ascension St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital. Per his wishes, David was cremated after private family services, and a Celebration of Life will be planned in the near future.
David was born on June 12, 1945 in Neosho, Missouri to Joseph and Martha (Stoup) Brinkman, moving back to Indiana when he was a young boy. He attended schools in Newtown, Indiana, graduating in 1963 from Richland Township High School. Shortly after graduating he went to work for a fertilizer company, soon after operating his own excavation company for several years. He later went to work as a farmer and truck driver. David was a great mechanic and enjoyed working on Maytag engines, and woodworking. He was also known for telling good stories.
David married Linda Pearson on June 25, 1966 at Newtown Indiana Methodist Church, and the two have shared the past fifty-three years together. He also leaves behind five children: Kristie (John) Graves, Michael (Heather) Brinkman, Kathy (Chris) Cooksey, Stacie (Mike) Crowder, and Steven Brinkman; and eleven grandchildren: Shelby, Lauren, Rex, Catlin, Courtney, Madison, Kaleb, MacKinley, John, Cooper, and Andrew. He also leaves behind a brother: Joe Brinkman and a sister: Dianna (Tom) Fletcher. He was preceded in death by his parents.
