John “Domino Bob” Snyder, passed peacefully, on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at his home. Born in Danville on May 20, 1951 to John and Opal (Goodpastor) Snyder, he was a lifelong resident of Danville.
Bob attended Oakwood schools and later went to work for Dominos, in which he dedicated over twenty years. Bob liked to spend time with his family and friends, especially telling jokes and playing poker. He was a diehard Cubs fan, their winning of the World Series one of the highlights of his life. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him.
Bob is survived by his three daughters: Kim Ellison, Amy Garnett (Matt), and Jodie Reavill (Scott); his two sisters: Donna Snyder and Denna (Randy) Wyatt, numerous grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Karen Snyder, and a brother Peter Leddy Jr.
A Celebration of Life has been planned at Sarge’s Tap, 409 E. Main Street in Danville, on Sunday, January 19, 2020 from 1-4, with a meal being served at 1pm. The family invites you to come shared your memories, jokes, stories, and laughter. They would also like to extend their heartfelt thanks to OSF Hospice for their compassion and help during this time, and to Bob’s niece Marquita (and nephew Chris) for their love and exceptional care as well.
