Kevin Wayne Reffett

  Kevin Wayne Reffett, 62, of Danville, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at OSF Heart of Mary in Urbana.  Per his wishes, he will be cremated.  The family will be having a memorial gathering at a later date.

  Kevin was born May 4, 1957 in Danville to Kenneth and Shirley (Robinson) Reffett.  He graduated Danville High School in 1975, and went into the U.S. Air Force where he served as part of the military police force.  After his service ended in 1979, he continued his education by acquiring a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1987 in Psychology.  Kevin worked various jobs throughout the years and owned his own vending machine business in Texas.  He enjoyed traveling and lived in Florida, Alaska, and Texas before returning home to Illinois.  He enjoyed both playing and watching sports, playing pool, and socializing at the Black Bear with his other “family”.  If one had the pleasure of playing Kevin on the pool table, one would quickly see that he was no chump and knew his way around the table.  Kevin was a very compassionate person who was always willing to lend a hand to his family and friends.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

   Kevin is survived by his son Brandon (Stephanie) Reffett;  grandchildren; brother Keith Reffett; sisters Kelly (Jerry) Dillon, Kay Reffett, Kimberly (Brian) Anders.  He was preceded in death by his parents, great-nephew Brysom Dillon, grandparents, and extended family.
