Winifred Ruth Vogt went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 24, 2019. Visitation will be from 11-1pm on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Kruger-Coan-Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville. Service will follow at 1pm on Thursday at the funeral home, with Pastor Rob Ketcherside officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park Cemetery in Georgetown.
Winnie was born on December 23, 1926. She married Robert Vogt on August 30, 1947, and they were married for 59 years. She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Deborah (Johnathan) Seripinas and Lori (David) Parker; grandchildren: Corissa (Joshua) Miller, Caleb (Tara) Seripinas, and Cassidie Parker; and her great-grandchildren: Lukas, Levi, Scarlette, and Aria; Sister Virginia (Richard) Ferpotto; brother Kenneth Wilson; Sister-in-law Flossie Wilson; and her nieces and nephews.
Winnie was preceded in death by her parents Maurice and Ruth, husband Robert; brothers: Roland, Harold, and Larry Wilson; and sister Mary Rothwell.
Winnie was a homemaker, mother, and manager of the Westville “Five & Dime” for years. Her family and her faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was a devoted Christian who gave her time and effort to her Church, Hooton Church of Christ. She was devoted to her husband, her daughters and grandchildren, her brothers and sisters, and her entire family.
