Alice Marie Faulkner, 98, of Danville, passed away at her home on January 30, 2025, with her family by her side. A memorial service will be held at 10:30am on Friday, February 7, 2025, at First Presbyterian Church, 100 N. Franklin Street in Danville, with Rev. Macy Ruple officiating. She will later be inurned with her husband at Gordon Cemetery.
Alice was born on August 8, 1926 in Ogden, Pennyslvania to Claude and Mary (Klee) Corbett. She attended Chichester High School and graduated in 1944. Alice worked in the office at General Chemical after graduating, where she would meet and fall in love with her husband Robert Faulkner. The two of them were married on November 19, 1947. Robert’s job would later transfer him to Danville, where they would spend the rest of their years together until his passing in 2012.
Alice loved sewing-- making clothes, blankets, slipcovers, and even her granddaughter’s prom dress. She enjoyed puzzles and crosswords, challenging herself with even the hard ones. She loved working on her home, and in her yard; was amazing at installing wallpaper-- it was always perfectly straight. Alice had a great sense of humor that she has passed on to every one of her family members.
Alice leaves behind her daughter Bobbie (Phil) McHone Olmstead; three grandchildren: Sarah (David) McHone-Chase, Seth (Julie) McHone, and JR Faulkner; four great-grandchildren: Iris, Tyler, and Xavier McHone-Chase, and Addison McHone; and four nieces and nephews: Lois Helnerson, Lynn Corbett-Brown, June Parsons, and Robert Corbett. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, her sons Jim and Stephen, and her siblings: Claude Corbett Jr, Ned Corbett, and Edna Houck.
