Barbara L (Williams) O'Neal

Barbara L. O’Neal, 94 of Danville, went Home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Hawthorne Inn of Danville. Visitation will be from 12 -2pm on July 22nd at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville with services following at 2pm with Pastor Al Rudie officiating. Following services Barbara will be laid to rest beside her husband Daniel in Spring Hill Cemetery.

   Barbara was born on January 15, 1928 in the Oakwood area to Henry and Lois (Butler) Williams. She attended and graduated from Danville schools, concluding her varied career by working for about 10 years as an LPN at the Danville VA Hospital. Barbara was a longtime member of Faith Baptist Church, where she enjoyed fellowship with her friends. Barbara was a devoted wife and mother, and enjoyed knitting, classical music, and travel with her husband, especially to the UK and Ireland.

   On May 30, 1947, Barbara married Daniel O’Neal and the two shared fifty-eight years together before his passing in March of 2015. Barbara leaves behind her two sons: Larry (Linda) O’Neal and Lance O’Neal; two grandchildren: Dr. Sara Velez and Erin (Paul) Morie; and two great-grandchildren: Santiago Velez and Joaquin Velez. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
