Benny Eugene Moore

Benny Eugene Moore, 76, of Tilton, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.  There will be a visitation from 12:00 – 2:00pm on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Kruger-Coan-Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville.  IDPH Guidelines will be strictly followed regarding gathering limitations, masks, and social distancing. 

Ben was born February 6, 1944 in Danville to Benjamin Ray Moore and Dorothy Ritter.  Ben worked at Heatcraft for 33 years as a paint line operator.  Ben and his wife also owned and operated Stroud Liquors for 19 years.    He enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, camping, and spending time with his family.

Ben married Joyce Owens Martin, and they have been together for 49 years, she survives.  Also surviving are his children:  Benny Eugene Moore Jr (Mary), Troy Gene Moore (Shelby), Crystal Lynn (Tim) Shell, Ricky Lee Moore (Beth), Michele K. Hardy, and James E. Martin; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and brother Steve (Pam) Ritter.

Ben was preceded in death by his parents, son Eugene DeWayne Moore, brother: Jay Ritter and sister Pumpkin Kavanaugh
