Betty Lou Hale, 92 of Danville, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Pleasant Meadows in Chrisman. Graveside services will be on Wednesday, December 28th at 1pm at Danville National Cemetery.
Betty was born April 13, 1930 in Fithian to Russell and Lois (Decker) Hibler. She attended Diamond Grade School and Oakwood High School. At the young age of sixteen Betty fell in love and married Willie Hale on September 6, 1947. The two shared over forty-seven years together before his passing in 1994. Betty worked at Sears Roebuck and St. Elizabeth’s Hospital throughout the years while also raising her family. She was known for having annual rummage sales and working in her garden.
Betty leaves behind her two daughters: Cindy (Gary) Clouse and Willia Hetrick; four grandchildren: Wendy (Daniel) Smith, Andrew (Stacy) Hetrick, Julie (Fred) Clark, and Beau (Jana) Clouse; seven great-grandchildren: Will Clark, Alex Childers, Gaven Clouse, Laney Clouse, Claire Clouse, Abbigail Hetrick, and Jacob Hetrick; and her brother: Russell Hibler. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Willie, and five siblings: Georgia Miller, Wilma Miller, James Hibler, Ronald Hibler, and Peggy Hanthorn.
