Carol "Marie" (Rudisill) Richards

   Marie Richards, 84 of Danville, passed away at 2:38am on Saturday, December 24, 2022 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. A celebration of life is planned for Sunday, January 22nd from 1-5pm at the Westville American Legion, 115 S. State St.

   Marie was born on December 11, 1938 in Homer, Illinois to Kenneth and Sybil (Lewis) Rudisill. She worked and retired from Vermilion County Nursing Home.

   Marie leaves behind her sons: Joe Gorz or Marana, AZ and Travis Gorz of Tilton, IL; four grandsons; two great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her longtime companion Paul Gilbert. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Barbara F. Smith.
