Charles S Spurgeon

   Charles S.Spurgeon 80 of Danville passed away on August 22, 2020 at Carle Hospital in Urbana at 9:50pm. Graveside service will be September 2, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Park. IDPH and CDC guidelines will be followed regarding masks and social distancing.

   Charles was born on April 30, 1940 to Paul and Nellie (Thompson) Spurgeon. He married Mary Ann (Wilson) Spurgeon on January 6, 1962. Survivors include a daughter Wendy (Curt) Miller, a son Charles E. (Brenda) Spurgeon, three grandchildren Dustin Sheahan, Amber Spurgeon, and Blair Sheahan; and numerous great grandchildren. Charles was proceeded in death by his parents and his wife Mary Ann.

   Charles enjoyed traveling in his motorhome, going to flea markets and antique shops. He liked spending time with family and having lunch and dinner with friends. He attended Second Church of Christ in Danville.
