Cheryl Bernice (Fitzwater) Pasquale

Cheryl Fitzwater, 66 of Danville, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Graveside Services will be at 1:30pm on Friday, December 20th at Parish Cemetery in Grape Creek. Pastor Dan Hunt will be officiating.

   Cheryl was born on January 2, 1958 in Danville to Edward and Florence (Noble) Fitzwater. She attended Georgetown Grade Schools, Westville High School, and DACC where she graduated from the nursing program as a CNA. Cheryl worked as a nurse at Colonial Manor for most of her career before her health forced her to stop working.

   Cheryl was a shopping fanatic and one of the best bargain shoppers you will find. She enjoyed rummaging, going to BINGO, and playing cards with her family. Cheryl loved nature and would often drive through the local parks and enjoy the scenery, and never missed a mushroom hunting season. She made the most amazing pineapple upside down cake, homemade chicken and noodles from scratch, and made more pies than there were people for every family holiday. Her soap operas, westerns, and game shows were always on the television. And above all else, her family was the most important thing in the world to her. Her home was never without nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and her extended family.

   Cheryl met Roy Pasquale in 1977 and the two spent over forty years by one another’s side until his passing in December of 2019.  They’re now spending Christmas in Heaven together this year.

   Cheryl leaves behind her children: Eric Barfell, Amanda Pasquale, Roy (Cynthia) Pasquale, and Daniel Pasquale (Melissa Carrigan); ten grandchildren: Shailey, Savannah, Arial, Brandon, Brittney, Haylee, Parker, Arianna, Hannah, and Dominick; five great-grandchildren; her two sisters: Karen (Gary) Dukes and Carol Fitzwater; a brother: Darryl Fitzwater; her niece Dawn who is more like a daughter; a special nephew: Michael Fitzwater; her close nieces: Candy Hutson, Jennifer Fitzwater, and Miranda Fitzwater; her close nephews: Steven Fitzwater, Randy Trader, Kevin Trader, Charles Dukes; and her fur babies. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a granddaughter: Daishenell, two brothers: Mike and Steven, and a sister Judy Goodwin.
