Cheryl Sue Powell (Wright) 47, of Danville passed away on September 9, 2021 at her home. Visitations will be from 10am to 12pm on Wednesday September 15, 2021 at Kruger-Coan-Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville. Services will follow at 12pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Cheryl was born on November 7, 1973 in Danville to James and Linda Wright. Cheryl enjoyed her job at First Student driving a school bus. She enjoyed playing baseball, co-ed softball, racing RC cars, and watching dirt track races. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and finding new receipes for her family to try and make for her.
Cheryl married Robert Powell on October 12, 2013 in Danville. They weren't just married they were best friends and forever soul mates. They genuinely enjoyed spending time together in fact they were inseparable wherever one was the other was close by. One of their favorite things to do together was racing (competitively of course) RC cars.
Survivors include her husband Robert Powell, father James Wright, 5 children Kimberly (Dustin Hix) Bruce, K.C. Bruce, Jeffrey (Mandy) Davis, Robert Powell, and William Powell, and 1 sister Jennie (Greg) Geiken. Also surviving are 7 grandkids (Jesse, Paul, Kolton, Sophie, Bentley, Koda and Bubba), 2 nieces (Barbie and Loretta), 1 nephew (Wright), 2 great nieces (Caylynne and Jennalynne), 2 great great nieces (Stella and Brelynne), 1 great great nephew (Holden), a bonus son (Jesse Felix Sr.), and a large amount of family, and friends that she held near a dear to her heart. Cheryl was loved by many people so please forgive us if we forgot any names.
Cheryl was proceded in death by her mother Linda Wright, her grandparents (Roberta and Frank Wright, Paul and Loretta Trumbla), her sisters (Jeaninne Wright and Kimberly (Alan) Wright- Bogart, her nephew Alan Bogart Jr., and multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
