Connie Fay Pennington, 78 of Danville, left us peacefully on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Carle BroMenn Medical Center of Normal. Graveside Services will be at 11am on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Johnson Cemetery on Newell Road, with Pastor Raymie Gordon officiating.
Connie was born in Danville on December 9, 1946 to Chester and Sarah (Nichols) Wheeler. She attended local area schools, and worked at numerous factories throughout the years. Connie’s favorite job of all time was raising her son and making their house a home. She enjoyed playing board games and doing jigsaw puzzles, watching television, and being with those she loved.
Connie married Hans Jacobsen in 1969 and the two shared over thirty-three years together before his passing in August of 1996. She later remarried Troy Pennington in 2001 and the two enjoyed twelve years together before his passing in 2013.
Connie leaves behind her son: Scott (Shanda) Jacobsen; three grandchildren: Shelbi, Kaden, and Kendrick; and two great-grandchildren: Samuel and Hallie Snyder. She was preceded in death by her parents and both of her husbands.
