   Dean Thomas (Tom) Hendrickson, 92 of Danville, went Home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Accolade Healthcare. Visitation will be from 1-4pm on Sunday, May 15th at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville. Services will be at 11am on Monday, May 16th at Southside Church of Christ, 611 S. Forrest Street in Danville with Dave Martin officiating. Private family graveside services will be at a later date.

   Tom was born on November 11, 1929 in Turner, Montana to Charles and Vivian (McGinnis) Hendrickson. He attended Turner, MT school through the age of thirteen and then transferred to Havre, MT High School. He later earned his GED once he enlisted in the US Air Force. Proudly serving in the US Air Force from 1947-1950, Tom was a turret technician on B29’s. Upon returning, he earned a Bachelor’s in Theology from Dakota Bible College and completed all his preliminary work on a Master of Theology from Lincoln Christian Seminary. 

   As an Ordained Minister for the Churches of Christ, Tom loved his Bible, studying Biblical languages, and was always very involved in his church. He loved airplanes and was always up for a plane ride, regardless of where it was going. Family was important to Tom, and he enjoyed time spent with them including annual family vacations and the holidays. 

   Tom married Phyllis Oliver on June 30, 1953 in Arlington, South Dakota, and the two shared over sixty-one years together before her death in December of 2014. Surviving are three children: Marcia Lang of Affton, MO, Thomas (Susan) Hendrickson of La Crescenta, CA, and Scott (Catherine) Hendrickson of Hinsdale, IL; twelve grandchildren: Matthew, Jennifer, Lisa, Kyle, Daniel, Vivian, Connor, Kyra, Joshua Thomas, Jarod, Samantha, and Jessica; and seven great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter: Shari Sprouls, and a brother Robert.
