Deana Marie Miller, 72 of Danville, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. A Celebration of Deana's Life will be on Saturday, March 21st from 1-5pm at The Danville American Legion Post 210, 201 Prospect Place in Danville.
Deana was born in Danville to the late Earl and Sadie (Kilbury) Kimmell on January 24, 1954.
She married Harold Miller on July 24, 1972 and the two shared forty-four years together before his passing on September 3, 2016.
Throughout the years Deana worked at many places, including the County Market Deli, The Vermilion County Courthouse, Fashion Bug, The Danville VA, and as a traveling photographer, making lifelong friends at each place. In her free time she enjoyed watching HGTV, feeding her hummingbirds, watching the squirrels in the backyard, and doting on her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She enjoyed making her house a home and was meticulous about how it was arranged, how it looked, and what needed to be done. Deana had a huge personality and owned every room she walked in.
Deana leaves behind her children: Angie (Craig) Barth and Michael (Disa Lowe) Miller; her granddaughter: Chloe Miller; a brother: Frank (Mark Kay) Kimmell; three sisters: Brenda LaFoe, Connie Kimmell, and Carla Kimmell; two very close nieces: Nicole LaFoe and Priscilla LaFoe; special nephews: Tyler and Kane LaFoe, and Aaron Dunbar; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Harold.
