Donald Lane Jr.

Donald Lane Jr., 73, of Bismarck, passed away at home on November 7, 2020.

Don was born on May 24, 1947, the son of Donald Lane Sr. and Barbara (Williams) Lane in Terre Haute, IN.  Don grew up in rural Paris Illinois.  He married Marijo Roberts on August 4, 1968 in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Don is survived by his wife; mother Barbara Gonzales of Carrollton, GA; two daughters: Shelley Lane of California and Dana Crutchfield of Oakwood; son James (Bobbie) Lane of Bremen, GA; six grandchildren: Dustin (Ashley) Lane of Carrollton, GA, Brett Johnson of Danville, Nicole Johnson of Oakwood, Dixe Augeri of Bremen, GA, Joe Augeri of Bremen, GA, and Ryan Lane of Bremen, GA; 6 great-grandchildren: Bruce, Jakob and Nikalynn Vandiver of Oakwood, Leighton Sizemore of Westville, Christopher and Elizabeth Lane of Carrolton, GA; a step granddaughter, 2 step great-granddaughters, and 5 step great great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, 2 nephews and a niece; 3 great nieces and a great nephew.

Don was preceded in death by his father, 2 brothers: Jerry Lane and Marion Lane, and a sister Connie Dever.

Don and Marijo moved to Bismarck in 1974.  Over the years Don worked at Hyster, Alvin FS, FMC in Hoopeston, taught at the Danville Correctional Center and was working at Danville Polyclinic when he retired.

Don was a Mason, a member of Eastern Star Iris #307 and Royal #217, and was a member of Bismarck First Church of Christ.

There will be a private family visitation at Kruger-Coan-Pape Funeral Home.
