Dorothy Helen Grubbs, 82 of Danville, earned her wings on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Accolade Healthcare in Danville, surrounded by those who loved her. Services will be on Tuesday, July 5th at 11am with visitation one hour prior (10-11am) at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville, with Pastor Raymie Gordon officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Kingman Fraternal Cemetery.
Dorothy was born October 4, 1939 in Cates, Indiana, an only child to Donald and Florence (Kiger) Grubbs. She attended Kingman schools, graduating from Kingman High School. She worked as a Bookkeeper at a local bank and at TransContinental Insurance for many years. Dorothy was faithful to her Lord and enjoyed reading her Bible. She loved to read whatever she could get her hands on, enjoyed eating out at different restaurants, and never hesitated to go on a shopping trip with her Mom.
Dorothy never married but loved all of her cousins, friends and caretakers as her own. She leaves behind her first cousins: Nancy (Roby) Abernathy, Walt Riley, Bob (Tanya) Riley, and Gary (Donna) Newnum; and her special friends: Theresa Smith, Linda Kruzich, and Linda and Richard Parsons. She was preceded in death by her parents
