Obituary

Edith Faye Huppert of Danville, Virginia finished her earthly journey to be with her heavenly father July 30, 2021. She was born August 25, 1927, in Marshfield, Indiana to John Thomas Ping and Eva Williams Ping.

Faye was retired from Corning Glass in 1995. She spent her early years in the Indiana area until she met her husband (of 74 years) Frank Huppert of Danville, Illinois. Upon marrying him she became a military wife for the next 30 years traveling throughout the Far East.

During the Korean War and the early 50's she was an active member of the USO shows entertaining the servicemen throughout the Far East.

When her husband retired from the Air Force the family moved to Danville, Virginia where she resided until her death. She had been n declining health for the past four years.

She was a member of Vandola Baptist Church, Corning Glass Retiree Club, Scottish Women's Club (Past President), Air Force Auxiliary, and M RP.

She is survived by her sons Larry (Betty), Frank II (Vickie), Mitchell (Revonda), daughter lone Taunton (Calif.), brother Thomas Ping (Ohio), and sisters Eldora Allen (Michigan), Jeanette Haskins (Illinois) and Kaye Chase (Ohio). She was predeceased by her parents, three brothers, four sisters and one daughter. She has eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great- great grandchild.

Graveside Rites will be at 10am Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Springhill Cemetery in Danville, Illinois.
