Frances Eudora Faye Clapp, 84 of Danville, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Accolade Healthcare. Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville. Funeral service will be on Friday September 16th at 10am at the funeral home with Pastor Doug Knapp officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery.
Frances was born May 23, 1938, in Chimney Corner, West Virginia to James and Virginia (Brown) Preast. She enjoyed cross-stitching, bowling, watching The Cubs, listening to Elvis Presley and gospel music, and spending time with her family. Her grandkids were her life, and she proudly held the title of “BEST NANA EVER!”
Frances married Chris Clapp on October 29, 1979, and he survives. She leaves behind her daughter: Shirley Montgerard; a sister: Mazie; brother: Donald; grandchildren: Jeremy (Lesley) Jones, Amy Bryant, Brittany (Jonathan Rose) Long, Amanda (Joshua) Whitney, Michael (Kassie) Long, Jacob (Abby) Frank, Lucas Frank and Keegan Frank; 15 great-grandkids; two great-great grandkids; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons: Jack and George Montgerard; daughter: Pamela Montgerard-Davis; sisters: Ethel, Marie, Leona, and Adgie; and her brothers: Elbert, Cecil, Raymond, Elzie, Damon and Jennings.
