Gaye Lynn Buck

Gaye Lynn Buck, 63, of Danville, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville.

Gaye was born on March 3, 1957 in Danville to Gene and Mardell (Ressie) Buck.  Gaye loved her family and church family.  She was a member of the Danville Alliance Church until her health declined.

Gaye always had a smile and an encouraging word to say.  She never left the house without being dressed up, makeup and jewelry on.  She never forgot a birthday and never missed a family event as long as she was able.  She loved to share a Pepsi or a sweet tea.  Gaye never said good-bye without a kiss and “I Love You.”

Gaye is survived by her children:  Michael Covey, Michele Covey, and Matthew Buck; eight grandchildren; brother Warren (Cheryl) Buck; sister-in-law Debbie Buck; sister Rhonda (Philip) Hodshire, and her beloved nieces and nephews: Valerie Buck, Warren Buck Jr., Loren Buck Jr., Sarah Buck, Amanda Huls, Tyler (Tori) Hodshire and Caleb (Jennifer) Hodshire

Gaye was preceded in death by her grandparents George & Nora Buck and Frank & Myrtle Ressie, her parents, and brother Loren Buck Sr.

Gaye carried pictures of her family with her at all times.  She loved to laugh and be with her family.  She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

A celebration of her life will be scheduled at a later date.
