Glenda Arlene (Krider) Greene

Glenda A. Greene, 84 of Danville, passed away surrounded by those that loved her, at Accolade Healthcare on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. Visitation will be on Monday, April 10th from 10-Noon at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville. Services will follow at Noon with Pastor Jay Sorrell officiating. Following services, Glenda will be laid to rest beside her husband Ron at Oak Hill Cemetery off of Shangri-la Road.

   Glenda was born January 14, 1939 in Chillicothe, Illinois to Marvin and Myrtle (Marlatt) Krider. She attended Fairchild and Oaklawn Grade Schools and Danville High School, graduating in 1957. Glenda worked many odd jobs throughout the years, including retail, but her favorite by far was being a mother and a wife to those she loved. She enjoyed coloring and painting, card games and board games with her family, and spending every holiday with those that loved her.

   Glenda married Ronald Tolson and the two had three children together before his sudden passing in May of 1967. She later married Charles Greene in 1995 and the two shared seventeen years together before he passed away in 2012. Surviving are her children: Rhonda Gilkison and Keith (Molly) Tolson; three grandsons: Zach, Quentin, and Spencer (Savannah Lomax); two great grandchildren: Markese and Kai; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, both spouses, a son: David Tolson; and three brothers: John, Joe, and Wally.
