Irma L (Green) Young Goodwin

Irma L Young Goodwin, 93 of Chrisman, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Pleasant Meadows in Chrisman. As per her wishes, Irma will be cremated and there will be no visitation or service; her ashes will go to her hometown cemetery.

   Irma was born May 21, 1930 to Irvin and Kristina Green in Harmony, IN. She was a longtime member of the Ridgeview Baptist Church in Danville where she was active in the Women’s Club, as well as in building the new church. Irma was a hairdresser for fifty years and served on The IL State Hairdresser’s Board. She also worked for a few years as a dental assistant for Dr. Chantos. Irma enjoyed mushroom hunting, reupholstering furniture, collecting antiques, card games, and being with those she loved.

    She married Neil Jones, William Kutch, Chester Young, and David Goodwin; all who preceded her.  Survivors include her children: Eric (Pam) Kutch and Anne Chris Johnson Polson; four special grandchildren: Eric (Stefanie) Kutch, Robert (Kyla) Kutch, Amy (Rusty) Henry, and Chad Johnson; eight special great grandchildren: Jaxon, Mason, Lexi, Kenzie, JoJo Jessie, Allie, and Brody; two brothers: Robert Green and Warren (Sandy) Green; and her special friends: Sherry, Megan, Kayla, Harley and Deanna Erwin, and Pat and Steve Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: John and Joe Green, a sister Barbara, two nephews: Tony and Mack, two sons-in-law: Mikel Johnson and Leon Polson, and two sisters-in-law: Margaret Green and Hazel Green.
