Jackie Ann Allen, 80 of Danville, passed from this life to the next, on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Accolade Healthcare in Danville. Visitation will be on Monday, August 28th from 10-11am with services immediately following at 11am. Pastor Raymie Gordon will officiate and she will be laid to rest at Danville National Cemetery.
Jackie was born December 16, 1942 in Danville, the oldest of three girls, to Warren and Betty (Miles) Cancil. She attended Cannon Grade School and DHS, later attending Danville Beauty School. Jackie fell in love with Eddie Allen and the two married on March 24, 1962. Jackie became a military wife and the two were stationed in Germany for five years and later Texas where they spent several years before moving back to Danville when Eddie retired. She enjoyed building their life together and caring for their home, and later worked at Nolonville Fire Dept, Pondarosa, and Auto Zone. Jackie enjoyed crocheting lap blankets, watching TV, and visiting with friends and family
After just shy of sixty years together, Jackie lost her beloved Eddie on December 22, 2021. Jackie leaves behind her son Jimmy Allen; two grandsons: Noland and Austin; two sisters: Verna (David) Quick and Betty (Jim) Camden; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
