James Robert Kesner, 69 of Danville, passed away at his home on Sunday, March 9, 2025. Per his wishes, he has chosen private services only.
James was born in Danville on January 3, 1956 to Arthur and Mary (Coan) Kesner. He grew up in the Cayuga, Indiana area and graduated from North Vermillion High School in May of 1976. After graduation, James was a member of the US Reserves and also served in the US Air Force. Throughout the years James worked at the Greyhound Bus Garage, Peterson Puritan, Tridan, Bungee, Krupp, and Fulfill as security, a forklift operator, and many other positions. When he wasn’t working, James enjoyed fishing, target practice, hunting, working on vehicles, and watching SciFi movies. He also had a knack for assembling and flying model airplanes.
James leaves behind his daughters: Jami Kesner (Shawn Fouse), Mary (Johnny) Roarks, and Audra Kesner; his five grandchildren: Brittany, Chelsea, Kaylynn, Madison, and Andrew; one great-granddaughter: Hailee; his four brothers: Paul Kesner, Donnie Kesner, John (Denise) Kesner, and Darrol Kesner; and a sister Betty (Gary) Scarlett. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, a sister Mary Jane Harvey, a sister-in-aw: Karen Kesner, and his parents.
