Janet Lynn Taylor, 70 of Danville, left us peacefully, surrounded by those she loved on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at her home. Visitation will be from 10-Noon on Wednesday, March 29th at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville. Services will follow at Noon with Pastor Raymie Gordon officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Jan was a true Southern Belle, born on September 15, 1952 in Meridian, Mississippi to Herman and Jeanette (Wells) Clearman Sr. On a blind date in 1969, Janet was introduced to a young Fred Taylor who was newly enlisted in the Navy, and it was love at first sight. The two were married a mere two years later in September of 1971 in Jacksonville, Florida. Jan was an amazing homemaker and mother who enjoyed crafting, sewing, and crocheting. While she also worked in food service, Jan found no greater joy than raising her children and spending time with those she loved. And when she was promoted to Grandma, she was just as important to them as well.
Jan leaves behind her husband of over fifty years: Fred Taylor; her two daughters: Patricia (Brian) Cassidy and Sarah Taylor; two grandchildren: Angelina Wynn and Isabella Teran; a brother: Herman (Brenda) Clearman Jr; her lifelong friends: Gwen and Joe Paulin; and her fur babies Grayson and Mae. She will also be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to know her.
