After a courageous battle with his health, the most amazing husband, father, and friend, Jasen Adam, was taken from us all too soon, on Friday, September 6, 2024 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was only 49 years old.
Jasen was born to Steven and Carol (Ziegler) Adam on January 28, 1975 on Fort Ord Military Base in California. Jasen spent his early years between California and Danville, and for a short time in Germany. He graduated from Danville High School in 1994 and entered into training to become a Paramedic.
Jasen literally spent his whole life as a paramedic. When he was a teenager he began volunteering for Oakwood, and later worked for both Georgetown and Medix of Danville until they were purchased by Carle. Jasen remained with Carle (Arrow Ambulance) right up until the very end. The number of lives he has touched and saved is unimaginable.
Jasen loved crafting, barbequing, and gardening. For many years he made his own BBQ sauce, participated in numerous BBQ competitions across the Midwest, and even dabbled in making his own beer. Above all else, his family was the most important part of his life, and if they were by his side, everything was alright.
Jasen and his childhood sweetheart, Leslie A. Hill, were married on September 18, 1994 here in Danville. The two began dating in 7th grade according to Jasen, but became an official couple in High School. They have shared their entire lives together. Jasen and Leslie have two children: Lexe Adam and Kobi (Rachel) Adam.
Jasen leaves behind his wife and children; his mother Carol Adam; his two sisters and a brother; his step-mother Roxanne Adam; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father and both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3pm on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at O’Brien’s Tavern, 800 East Main Street in Danville. Everyone is welcome to attend and share their love and fond memories with the family. Messages and memories may be left on our website at www.KrugerCoanPape.com, or on the Kruger Funeral Home Facebook page.
