Jo Anna Blough, age 77, a lifelong resident of Danville, IL passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.  Visitation will be on Sunday, February 5, at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville, IL from 4:30 - 7:30 pm, with a Rosary at 4pm.  A Catholic Memorial Mass will be at 10:00 am on Monday, February 6th at Holy Family Church, 444 E. Main Street in Danville with Father Steven Loftus officiating.

Jo Anna was born November 4, 1945 in Minneapolis, MN to Joseph Walter Sr. and Marianna (Werkmeister) Lipa.  She was a 1963 graduate of Schlarman High School and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.  She was the oldest of 10 children.  She protected and cherished them all her life.  She was an amazing mother and grandmother. She worked at Bohn, Prudential Insurance, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield.  After retirement, she could be found helping out at the St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry, running around town with her sisters, going to all the festivals, listening to Summer Sounds, playing pool, gardening, and attending all the events for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Her greatest joy was always spending time with family.  She loved hanging out with extended family and never missed an opportunity to get together.  She was loved fiercely and will be missed terribly.

She is survived by her children Carolyn (Don) Parsons of Aurora, CO, Shari Blough of Danville, IL, and Rick (Linda) Blough of Danville, IL; her granddaughters Holly (Story) Miller of Danville, Madison Watson of Danville, Kayla (Logan) Crum of Highlands Ranch, CO, Kelli and Kristi Parsons of Aurora, CO, and Carli McMahan of Veedersburg, IN; her great-granddaughters Ellie Miller, Haylee Miller, and Noa Crum.  She is also survived by her sisters Diana (Larry) Lindahl, Lori (Wyatt) White, Mary (Rick) Seyfert, Kim Guggemos; her brothers Joseph (Joan) Lipa Jr, Mark (Linda) Lipa, Martin (Mary) Lipa, Carl (Elle) Lipa, brother in law Mike Hinote, and many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Theresa Hinote, and brother in law George Guggemos.
