Joe Wayne Denton

Joe Wayne Denton, 79 of Danville, left us unexpectantly on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. Per his wishes there will be no services at this time.

   Joe was born in Danville on March 31, 1946 to William and Beverly (Lyman) Denton. He attended Danville schools through his teen years and then entered into the working world. Joe worked at Bell Helmets from 1988 until his retirement in 2008, manufacturing helmets of all styles.

   Joe enjoyed being outdoors- fishing, a little hunting, and working on his house. Judge Judy was almost always on the TV, even when he left town.

   Joe leaves behind his three children: Joe William (Amanda) Denton, Lori (Dave) Buckellew, and Kevin (Stephanie) Denton; his grandchildren: Jeremy Denton, Jamie Denton, Jessica (Minuet) Denton, Erica Moreman, Angie Dix, Brittany King, Krystal Denney, Michael Denton, Bentley Denton, Dallas Denton, Danika Denton, Lilliana Denton, Jacob Denton, Jersey Denton, Harley Buckellew, Nick Buckellew, Benji Buckellew, Kaylee Denton, and Kory Denton; numerous great grandchildren; his siblings: Mike Denton, Danny (Cheryl) Denton, and Billie Jean Arnett, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Tracy Stack, and a grandson Michael Denton.
