John Wayne Chandler

John Wayne Chandler, 76 of Danville, left us peacefully on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Accolate Healthcare, surrounded by those he loved. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 9^th from 4-7pm at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville. Services will be on Friday, February 10^th at 11:30am at Kruger Funeral Home with burial immediately following at Walnut Corner.

   John was born May 13, 1946 in Danville to John and Sarah (Hilleary) Chandler. He graduated from Catlin High School and went on to attend Danville Junior College. John owned Chandler Construction where he was a general contractor, and later in life worked for both Remole Homes and A-1 Homes in Sales. In May of 2000, he and his son purchased Travel Trailer Sales and Service in Tilton which is still in business today. When he wasn’t working, John enjoying fishing, hunting, camping and traveling. He was also an avid collector of John Deere.

   John married his high school sweetheart Patricia Jacobson on November 16, 1968 at Bismarck United Methodist Church and the two have shared the past fifty-four years together. He is survived by the love of his life Patricia; his son: Dan (Sandra) Chandler; and his sisters June (Ron) Snoke and Donna Hartman; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

   John was a people person and never met a stranger.
