Joyce Marian (Wade) Knee Holden

Joyce Marian (Wade) Knee Holden was born on October 4, 1935, at home in Potomac, Illinois. She died peacefully on the morning of March 15, 2026 in Danville with family by her side.

   Surviving are her daughters Jonna S (Barbee) Blough, Patty (Bill) Carlton, Kay (Mike) Peterson; a son John Knee (Stacey Shaw); multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and a step-brother David Roesch.

   Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Leland and Eulalia (Songer) Wade, a step-father Todd Roesch; sons-in-law David Moran and Larry Blough; a grandson Andrew Barbee; a brother Glenn Wade; a special aunt Helen (Songer) Fortner; and her former husbands Bill Barbee, Ron Knee, Jack Burris, and Wayne Holden.

   Joyce was a homemaker and part-owner of Knee Trucking for twenty years, and worked several years at The Danville Polyclinic, St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, and United Samaritans Medical Center. She enjoyed reading, flower and vegetable gardening, fishing, mushroom hunting, sewing, embroidery, baking and cooking. She was a member of Catlin Church of Christ. To proclaim her faith in Christ, she was baptized in 1975, 1990, and 1999.

   A celebration of a life well-lived, Joyce’s visitation will be from 11am-Noon on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Kruger Funeral Home & Crematory, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville. Funeral Services will follow at Noon with Chris Lawler. Burial Services will be private at a later time
