Karen Bias Obituary

Karen Sue Bias, 66 of Georgetown, left us peacefully on Monday, March 3, 2025 at OSF St. Joseph of Bloomington. She courageously fought until the very end. A Memorial Visitation will be on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville from 1-3pm. Please remember the clocks jump forward Saturday evening!

Karen was born August 4, 1958 in Danville to Robert and Betty (Collom) Pickett. She attended Danville schools, graduating from Danville High School in 1976. Karen worked at many places over the years, most recently at Peterson’s in Receiving. She was also a homemaker for several years. When Karen wasn’t working, she enjoyed being outdoors; especially mushroom hunting. And she was a big animal lover- their home was never without a dog. Karen liked to sew, draw, paint, do arts and crafts, and sit around a good bonfire with her family.

Karen married Mac Bias in February of 2007, and the two have spent the past eighteen years by one another’s sides. She leaves behind her husband Mac; her son Jason (Stacey) Pickett; grandchildren: Joshua, Cody, and Chelsea; two great-grandchildren; and her father Robert “Bob” Pickett. She also leaves behind her three brothers and sisters: Bob (Robin) Pickett, Dan (Norm) Pickett, Michael (Gloria) Pickett; and a special niece Ashley Price. And her fur baby Lilly the poodle. Karen was preceded in death by a grandson Matthew, a great-granddaughter Scarlett, her mom Betty, and a brother Jack.

Messages and memories may be left on our website at www.KrugerCoanPape.com, or on the Kruger Funeral Home Facebook page. Anyone wanting to make a memorial in Karen’s name may do so to their favorite animal shelter.
