Kathleen Qualey Obituary

Kathleen Ann Qualey, 72 of Danville, passed away in her sleep on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at her home. A memorial visitation will be on Thursday, March 31st from 1-3pm at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville.

Kathy was born on September 16, 1949 in Wadena, Minnesota to Clifford and Hilda (Hanson) Qualey. As a child she spent a short time in foster care while her mother received care at a TB clinic before moving to Danville where family lived.  In her younger years she loved music, macrame, and dancing.  Kathy was an amazing homemaker and mother, and always put her children before herself. She was a quiet and forgiving person, who was immediately loved by everyone she met, and whom loved Her Lord and reading her Bible.

Kathleen married Jack Jones Sr. and he passed away in 1977. She later married Bobby Jo Eberle; he preceded her in December of 2008. She married George Kirts in 1980 and he survives. From these unions Kathleen leaves behind her three children: Autumn Duprey (Kai Fugate), Spring (Timothy) Amos, and Jack Jones Jr; a stepson: Bobby Joe Eberle Jr; two sisters: Diane (Michael Sr) Curry and Barbara (Michael Sr) Schull; her eight grandchildren: Jack Jones III, Dakota Oaks, Kavan Oaks, William Wimsett, Anthony Wimsett, Keirra Duprey, Alissa Wimsett, and Joshua Duprey Jr; her step-grandchildren: Shianne Amos, Syvera Amos, Kaiba Amos, Michael Amos, and Jason Amos; and her five great grandchildren: Jack IV, Elizabeth, Gabriel, William, and Alexander Jones. Her aunt Marlene Benson; and her nieces and nephews: Tom (Suzanne) Lomax, Melissa Curry, Michael Curry Jr, Sean Curry, Christina Chittick, Esther Qualey, Lisa Qualey, Vicki Qualey, Serenity Qualey, Michael (Shelby) Schull Jr, Ryan (Riki) Schull, and Brian (Sara) Schull will greatly miss her as well.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Jack Jones, an infant son Levi Qualey, a daughter Sounya Jones, and a brother Clark Qualey.
