Keith Edward Geren

Keith Edward Geren, 72 of Danville, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at OSF Sacred Heart in Danville. Per his wishes there will be no public services.

    Keith was born near Hammond, Indiana on July 23, 1952 to Edward and Lavonia (Young) Geren. His family moved to Danville when he was a child, and he graduated from Danville High School and later SIU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics. He most recently worked at REG as an Operator. Keith enjoyed golfing and played on a pool league when he was younger.

   Keith married Dolores ‘Lorrie” Carmean on July 24, 1993 and the two have spent the past thirty-one years by one another’s sides. He leaves behind his wife Lorrie; his mother Lavonia; his four stepchildren: Sheila Swisher, Erica Troxel, Jarrod Troxel (Ashley Hill), and Andrea Troxel; his seven step-grandchildren: Tyler Kirkpatrick, Bryanna (Andrew) Dori, Bryce Troxel, Ryan Troxel, Harlie Perrault, Alyra Parks, and Lincoln Troxel; and one great-grandson: Gunnar Kirkpatrick, with another great-grandson on the way. He will also be greatly missed by his brother: Brian Geren; a sister Brenda Lindsey; and a nephew Jason Lindsey. Keith was preceded in death by his father Edward and a nephew Steven Geren.
