Kenneth Duane Overshiner, 56 of Westville, left us suddenly on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at his home. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 21st from 11-1pm at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville. Services will follow at 1pm with Pastor Jay Sorrell officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Ken was born March 2, 1966 in Green Castle, Indiana to Clyde and Stora (Crank) Overshiner. He attended Danville schools, graduating from Danville High School in 1984. He went on to become a Certified Electrician. Ken worked for thirty years for the various local sign companies including Marsters, LeMaire, American Dowell, Vermilion, and Watchfire Signs. He worked for twenty years for the Local 538 as an electrician. When he wasn’t working you could find Ken charcoal grilling on his Weber, watching Andy Griffith and Home Improvement on TV, and no remote was safe when the Chicago Bears were playing. One of his most memorable moments was marching on the old Soldier Field. He was very active with Danville Youth Hockey and Westville Youth Football. And Ken always looked forward to hosting Labor Day and Thanksgiving get togethers for everyone.
Ken leaves behind his three sons: Chad (Nicki) Sollars, Dalton (Brittni) Overshiner, Shane (Betsy) Overshiner; 10 grandchildren: Zander, Tucker, Jack, Carson, Jordan, Miylah, Caiden, Mackenlee, Joel and Joey; one grand-dog Duke; his father Clyde (Judy) Overshiner; his siblings: Curtis (Storina) Overshiner, Ronnie (Pam) Felix, Todd Felix, Ryan (Carrie) Overshiner, Dustin (Stephanie) Overshiner, Susie Porter, Kevin (Teri) Felix, and Danny (Christine) Felix; several nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and dozens of close friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Stora; his stepfather Ron Felix; and both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
