Kenneth Ray McQueen, 55 of Paris, passed away unexpectantly on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at his home. Per his wishes, he will be cremated and his ashes buried with his parents and his brother at Atherton Cemetery. A Celebration or Life will be on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville from1-3pm.
Kenfro as he was lovingly known by his family, was born on January 16, 1969 in Danville to Jerry Lee and Carolyn Ann (Young) McQueen. He grew up on Danville, attending Danville schools, and earned his GED in 1987. He had planned to enter into the US Army, but unfortunately broke his arm right before he was to enlist.
Kenfro worked at Hardees as a teenager, and then later at A1 Sentry Construction. He drove a taxi for all of the companies in Danville, but mostly for Mr. Taxi. He met hundreds of people and had thousands of stories from his time driving a taxi. When he wasn’t at work, Kenfro enjoyed watching movies, reading, and was a history buff.
Kenfro leaves behind his son: Sabastian McQueen, a daughter Kristen Castillo, his grandson: Jasper Benjamin Ray McQueen, his sister: Mary (Shawn) Broderick, and his best friend and brother: Shad Thomas. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings: Anthony Joseph McQueen, Joseph Leslie McQueen, and Christina Dixon.
