Kenny Pankow, 55 of Danville, lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday, April 30th, 2025 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was an amazing husband and father, a friend to everyone, and had a contagious sense of humor that made everyone love him.
Kenny was born in Chicago on August 11, 1969 to Kenneth and Joan (Ott) Pankow II. They have both preceded him in death. He grew up in Chicago with his parents and his sister Elaine, attending Marist High School and later earning his GED at DACC. Kenny has worked for Carle delivering medical supplies since 2017.
Kenny met the love of his life Debbie Maggio through mutual friends in 1997, and the two moved to Danville together after a job transfer. Kenny and Debbie later married on October 5, 2002 and have spent the past twenty-three years by one another’s sides. Kenny was a bowling fanatic and was a longtime league member in Oak Forest for several years, and for a short time here in Danville. He was the best girl dad ever, and spent as much time with his daughter Hartley as possible. She loved to draw “tattoos” on Dad with her markers, and he attended every dance recital and theatre production she was part of.
Kenny leaves behind his wife Debbie, his daughter Hartley, his sister Elaine Nicosia, a nephew Dominic, two nieces Dawn and Kimberly, and two god children Belle Nicosia and Freddy Speiwak. He will also be missed by his work family and the many, many friends he has made over the years.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9th from 12-2pm at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville. In Kenny’s memory we ask that everyone come as they are. Messages and memories may be left on our website at www.KrugerCoanPape.com, or on the Kruger Funeral Home Facebook page.
