Lavonia (Young) Geren

Lavonia Geren, 93, of Danville, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on January 25, 2026. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services.

She was born on December 11, 1932, to William Carl Young and Tresse Beatrice Buie Young. Lavonia was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Bill and Roy Young; her grandson, Steven Geren; and her beloved son, Keith Geren.

Lavonia is survived by her sister, Evelyn; her daughter, Brenda; her daughter-in-law, Lorrie; her youngest son, Brian; and her grandchildren Jason, Sheila, Erica, Jarrod, and Andrea.

Lavonia lived a long life marked by quiet strength, perseverance, and devotion to her family. She was known for her steady presence, her resilience through loss, and the love she carried for those closest to her.

She will be remembered with love and respect by all who knew her.
