Linda Ann (Reuther) Bays

   Linda Ann Bays, 75 of Danville, went Home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Accolade Healthcare in Danville. Visitation will be from 3-6pm on Friday, September 15th at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street. A rosary will be at 2:15pm on Friday at the funeral home. A Celebration of Catholic Mass will be at Holy Family Catholic Church, 444 E. Main Street in Danville on Saturday, September 16th at 10am. Following services Linda will be entombed at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.

   Linda was born on July 15, 1948, the youngest of two children born to Robert and Rubye (Scheafer) Reuther. She attended Schlarman schools graduating in 1966. Throughout the years Linda worked at Illinois Bell and at Ray O’Herron and Company, but no job was more important than that of raising her daughters and making a home for her family. Linda was a lifetime member of Holy Family Catholic Church, where she also enjoyed playing and running the BINGO and running the Parent Association at Holy Family School for many years. Her other favorite pastime was watching both her beloved Cubs play baseball and College Basketball.  She will forever be known as a great Mother and Nina.

   Linda married William A. Bays on May 4, 1974 in Danville and he passed away August 25, 2016 after forty two years of marriage together. Linda leaves behind her two daughters: Gail (Patrick) Lewis and Lindsey (Anthony) Nixon; four grandchildren: Alex and Maggie Lewis, and Liza and Aiden Nixon; a brother: Jim (Joyce) Reuther; and her nephews: Andrew Reuther and Bob Reuther. She also leaves behind Bill’s children Bradley “Scott” (Twyla) Bays and Jennifer (Keith) Estock and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents.
