Lori Flessner Obituary

   Lori Ann Flessner, 64 of Danville, passed peacefully on Sunday, February 8, 2026 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville after a lifelong battle with Diabetes. Her family never left her side. Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville. Funeral Services will be at 10am on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Kruger Funeral Home with Pastor Kent Tibben officiating. Burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery.

   Lori was born in Danville on April 3, 1961 to William and Shirley (Roderick) Engle. She attended Trinity Lutheran Schools and Danville High School. Lori worked at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in the late seventies as a Dietician and then later at the VA Illiana Medical Center as a Dietician for over thirty years.  She cherished the lifelong friends that she met along the way. She also loved fishing, camping, and watching the wildlife. Lori loved a good laugh, a good joke, and pulling pranks on others.

   She married Ronald Flessner on April 28, 1978 at Trinity Lutheran Church and the two shared over twenty-five years together before his passing in 2003. The two of them had two sons: Todd Alan and Ryan William.

   In 2010 Lori met Kenneth Hill and they spent the rest of their lives together until Kenny’s death just a month earlier.

  Lori is survived by her sons: Todd (Cassie) Flessner and Ryan (Laura) Flessner; her sister: Linda (Brian) Lonneman; brothers-in-law: Ken Lamar, David (Judy) Flessner, and Darryl Flessner; grandchildren: Allison (Danyel) Collison, Skyler (Macey Beasley) Alton, Makenzie, Prisilah, Zanden, and Benjamin Flessner; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Molly Lamar, her husband Ronald and his parents.
