Lucille E. Frazier, 93 of Danville, went to her Heavenly rest Saturday, April 27, 2024. Farewell visitation will be at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street on Thursday, May 2nd from 10:30-12:30pm, with services following at 12:30pm and Pastor Phil Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Danville National Cemetery.
Lucille leaves behind her children: Diana (Dean) Brenneman, Paul (Val) Frazier, Keith (Kelley) Frazier, Clayton (Debbie) Frazier, Barry (Reina) Frazier, Lori Frazier, and Beth (Mike) Glass; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; and thirty-one great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Joseph Machann Jr and Johnnie Frazier Jr, a grandchild, and four great grandchildren.
Lucille was born in Wheelless, OK on march 24, 1931 to the Overbays; she was adopted by Paul and Elizabeth Klen Thompson from the Denver, CO State Orphanage. She attended St. Louis Catholic Grade School, St. Francis de Sales Catholic High School, and Loretto Heights Catholic Women’s College.
Lucille married her childhood sweetheart Joseph A Machann Jr on May 20, 1950 in Engelwood, CO; he was killed in action serving with the First Marine Division in Korea on June 6, 1951. She married Johnnie Frazier Jr in Chicago on June 11, 1955.
Lucille held a variety of secretarial, executive, and administrative positions during her fifty plus years working, retiring at age 81. She was active in cub scouts, girl scouts, OTA, music parents’ association, youth football and little league, and the Vermilion County Republican party.
