Lucy Mae Bailey, 86 of Clinton, Indiana and formerly of Rockville, Indiana, and a longtime resident Mesa, Arizona, passed away peacefully at Vermillion Convalescent Center on Friday, March 27, 2026. Per her wishes, there will be no public funeral service, and she will be laid to rest at Danville National Cemetery with her husband Donald.
Lucy was born in Georgetown, Illinois on November 7, 1939 to William and Lucy (Trosper) Loveall. She grew up and attended school in the Georgetown area. Lucy was a homemaker and enjoyed making her house a home and raising her children. She also worked as a waitress for several years. Lucy enjoyed playing card games (especially euchre and gin rummy) and mushroom hunting. She was very spiritual and enjoyed reading her Bible and attending church services whenever she was able.
Lucy married Donald Eugene Bailey in 1963 and they raised two sons together: Ronald and Donald Bailey. Surviving is her son Ronald (Sandra) Bailey; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald, her son Donald Martin Bailey, and eight brothers and sisters.
