Marjorie “Marge” Helen Sidwell, 85 of Danville, passed away on March 21, 2025 at OSF Sacred Heart Hospital in Danville.
Marge was born on November 14, 1939 in Gun Plain Township, Michigan to James and Elizabeth (Rohrer) Hoaks. Her family moved them back to Illinois when she was five years old and she attended Danville area schools. Marge worked as a waitress at The Windmill, Steak n Shake, Stuebes, The Phoenix, and The Oakwood Truck Stop to name a few. Marge enjoyed playing card games, Sorry, euchre, 20,000, and Oh Hell with her family-especially the grandkids. And she loved her BINGO and took it very seriously.
Marge married Leslie Sidwell in 1964 and he passed away on July 11, 1975. She leaves behind her children: Donald Wigley, Leslie “Jr.” (Janet) Sidwell, Patricia Sidwell, Loretta (Craig) Baikie, and Charles Rohrer; her sisters: Hilda, Betty, and Karen Sue; her nine grandchildren: DJ, Jessica (Michael), Heather (Josh), Carmiletta (Travis), Daniel (Rachel), Tabatha (Mario), Jasmine (Matthew), Leslie “Sid” (Crystal), and Misty (Derek); eighteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She also leaves behind her neighbors and friends at The Wolford where she lived for over twenty years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leslie, four brothers, three sisters, a granddaughter Trista Jo, and a great-granddaughter Zoey Pearl.
