Mark William Marble, 59 of Bloomington and formerly of Danville, left this life on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Normal. Visitation will be from 11-1pm on Friday, May 20th at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville. Services will follow at 1pm with Pastor Dave Anderson officiating. Private burial rites will take place at a later date.
Mark was born on June 14, 1962 in Danville to Joseph and Janet (Neal) Marble. He attended Danville schools, graduating in 1981 from Danville High School. Mark worked for the family business, Marble Machine Shop, where he was co-owner and Vice President since he was a young man. Mark enjoyed trap shooting, bowling, shooting pool, and watching racing on TV and in person. He was a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers.
Mark leaves behind his daughter Sara Marble; stepdaughters: Stacy Deckard (Michael Brewer), Christina Deckard, Brandy (Bobby) Brown, and Billie Jo Deckard; and his care takers: Cassandra Day (his “Memory Bank” as he referred to her as), and Anita Thrasher. His grandchildren: Billy Brown, Dustyn Lowry, Destiny Day, and Alexis Brewer; and his siblings: Todd Marble, Jeffery (Cathie) Marble, and Troy Marble will greatly miss him. He was very close to his nieces and nephews: Josie (Mitchell), Dylan, Megan, Eryn, George, and Jonathan; as well as a great-nephew Leelan. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson Brandon Brown.
