Mary (Garnica) Robles

Mary Robles, 84 of Danville and formerly of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. She was surrounded by the love of her family until her final breathe.  A visitation will be on Monday, April 14th from 11-1pm at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville. Services will follow at 1pm.

   Mary was born in Elsa, Texas on April 20, 1940 to Joaquin and Rafaela (Almanza) Garnica. She spent her childhood in Elsa, and moved to Danville when her children were young. Mary worked in housekeeping at St. Joesph’s Hospital in Fort Wayne for nearly eighteen years. Besides that she worked hard raising her children and making her house a home. Mary had a green thumb and loved to garden and plant flowers. She enjoyed BINGO and had her weekly scheduled games that she hated to miss.

   Mary married Odie Robles in the early 2000’s and he survives. She also leaves behind her children: Rose Hood, David (Laura) Aguirre, Aralynda (Charles) McGruder, Jerry (Carrie) Aguirre, Samuel (Laura) Aguirre, Freddie (Francis) Aguire, and Carmen Aguirre; a niece that she raised as her own Tracie Lopez; thirty-six grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; four brothers: Joe Garnica, Daniel Garnica, Alberto Garnica, and Leo Garnica; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Yolanda Lopez, a brother Felix Garnica, two granddaughters: Angie Martin and Katyrina Aguirre, and a grandson: Austin Camareno.
