Maurice “Rick” Richard Vaughn, 71, of Danville, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at OSF Sacred Heart in Danville. Visitation will be from 4-7pm, Wednesday February 12, 2020 at Kruger-Coan-Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville. Service will be at 10:30am Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Kruger-Coan-Pape Funeral Home with pastor Kenneth Young officiating. Burial will follow at Springhill Cemetery.
Rick was born October 13, 1948 in Anderson, Indiana to Maurice and Virginia (Mann) Vaughn. Rick owned a trucking company with his father, and drove semis for much of his life. He bought and sold cars for much of his life, and had a passion for cars and motorcycles that he passed on to his sons. Rick loved spending time with his family & grandkids.
Rick married Sally Joanne Cox on June 30, 1978, she preceded him December 12, 1998. Survivors include his children: Ricky (Ashley) Vaughn of Danville, Duane (Evon) McBride of Gallatin, Tennessee, and Doug McBride of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren: Maverick and Demi Vaughn, Andrew Walker, Jordan (TJ) McClure, Douglas McBride, and Lincoln McBride; Sisters Nancy (Leon) Webber and Vicki (Barry) LaFond; brother John (Jackie) Vaughn; several nieces and nephews; and longtime companion Debbie Hayes. Rick was preceded in death by his wife Sally, Parents, and infant son Maurice R. Vaughn II.
