Michael "Pops" Hoover

Michael “Pops” Hoover, 60, of Danville, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2020.  Visitation will be from 4-7pm Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Kruger-Coan-Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville.  We will be observing mandatory masks and social distancing per IDPH guidelines.

Mike was born May 29, 1960 in Fairfield, Illinois, raised by John and Shirley Hoover.  Mike worked as a union labored for most of his life, and working was his life.  He really enjoyed college basketball, especially University of Illinois.  He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, and spending time with his kids.

Mike married Paula Jean Scott, and later divorced.  From that marriage are 2 sons:  John Hoover and Jake Hoover.  Also surviving is girlfriend Jeanette Larson, and their daughter Alexius Hoover; brother Rick Hoover; sister: Lee Ann Jones; brother Sam Smith; and sister Debbie Lathrop.   He was preceded in death by his parents; and uncle Bill Sharp.
