Mildred Langevin, 91, of Danville, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Liberty Estates. There will be a private family graveside, laying her to rest next to her husband at Resurrection Cemetery, with the family planning to have a memorial service at a later date.
Mildred was born August 21, 1928 in Danville to James Blaine and Bessie (Swank) Langley. She graduated Westville High School and St. Elizabeth School of Nursing, and went on to be a registered nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was a long time member of Holy Family Church. She was a member of the DAR and the local organ club. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, playing the organ, doing crossword puzzles, and watching her Jeopardy.
Mildred married George Edward Langevin on May 16, 1953 at St. Patrick’s Church in Danville; he passed December 31, 2013. Surviving include a daughter Cathy (Ronald) Bolser, and a son Mark (Merrill) Langevin; two granddaughters Heather Bolser and her husband Brian Vandre, and Jenna Bolser; a step grandson Adam Cumurcu; great-grandchild Marin Vandre; along with nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse George, and brother Virgil Langley
