Misty Lynn Gritten, 49 of Catlin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center. Per her wishes, she will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 10th from 4:30-7:30pm at Kruger Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville. Please come as you are.
Misty was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on August 9, 1976 to Larry and Ginny (Cardinale) Pascual. She attended school in New Orleans and moved to Illinois in 2005. Misty worked for OSF as a CNA, telemetry monitor tech and most recently as an office assistant. When she wasn’t working, Misty enjoyed fishing, baseball tournaments, random travel plans, family trips, shopping, and spoiling her only grandson, Calvin. She hardly ever missed a New Orleans Saints game. WHO DAT!
Misty leaves behind her three children: Kristal (Cory) Henry, Zachary Gritten, and Dakota Gritten; her grandson Calvin Henry; her sister Tomika Pascual (Claude Murphy); and her two brothers: Joshua (Claire) Pascual and Barry (Alesha) Pascual. She will also be greatly missed by numerous nieces and nephews, several cousins, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
After Misty’s long journey of battling metastatic breast cancer, we would like to thank Dr. Labayog and Dr. Barnett for their compassion. Messages and memories may be left on our website at www.KrugerCoanPape.com, or on the Kruger Funeral Home Facebook page.
