Ned McDowell Obituary

Ned McDowell, 80 of Westville, left us suddenly on Monday, July 18, 2022 at his home. Graveside services will be at 10:30am on Monday, July 25th at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Westville with Pastor Raymie Gordon officiating.

Ned was born on June 7, 1942 in Danville to Ray and Lois (Whitlock) McDowell. He attended Westville schools, graduating in 1960. Ned worked for twenty years at Interstate Printing, several other local printers, and at Hobbico in Champaign. Ned enjoyed NASCAR racing and attending car shows.

Ned met and married Wanda Moretto in 1963 and she preceded him in death in 2000 after. He leaves behind his two grandchildren: Isaac and Christina McDowell, his brother Ted McDowell, and his two nieces: Sarah and Kim. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, his son Chris McDowell, his wife Wanda, and a brother Kim.
